At the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit in Paris on April 13-14, 2025, Kirsty Gogan, Founding Director and Co-CEO of Terra Praxis, took part in the panel session "Growing Nuclear Capacity to Power Tomorrow," moderated by Jessica Lovering, Research Fellow at the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences of the University of Michigan. She joined industry leaders Stefano Buono, CEO of newcleo, and Gaëtan Bonhomme, Partner at Breakthrough Energy, to explore the future of nuclear energy, focusing on the challenges and opportunities in scaling capacity in Europe and the U.S.

Kirsty highlighted Terra Praxis’s innovative REPOWER model, which offers a new paradigm for coal-to-nuclear deployment. By leveraging modular design, standardization, and efficient manufacturing, the REPOWER approach enables rapid, low-cost, and repeatable nuclear deployment while minimizing construction risks and regulatory hurdles. Additionally, Terra Praxis’s AI-driven licensing capabilities, developed in collaboration with Microsoft, aim to streamline the regulatory approval process and facilitate a faster transition from coal to advanced nuclear energy. The session addressed key challenges like uranium supply chain risks, next-generation reactor designs, and nuclear waste recyclability, and delved into how SMRs could transform the energy landscape—powering data centers, industrial heat, and more. The panel collectively explored how innovative strategies and emerging technologies can accelerate nuclear capacity growth to meet the rising global demand for clean, reliable energy.
