At the Innovation Zero World Congress in London on 29-30 April 2025, Michael Drury, Managing Director at LucidCatalyst, represented Terra Praxis on a panel exploring the future of nuclear innovation. Michael was joined by moderator Nick Loris, Vice President of Policy at C3 Solutions, and fellow speakers including Professor Martin Freer, CEO of The Faraday Institution; Rachel Johnson, Vice President of Advanced Fuels, Commercial at Urenco; and James Walker, CEO of NANO Nuclear Energy Inc.

The session focused on how innovations such as SMRs and HALEU can help decarbonise the power supply in time to meet net zero targets. Panelists discussed the opportunities and challenges facing the nuclear industry, including the importance of streamlining planning consent, incentivising investment, and reducing costs. They examined what innovations are on the horizon and what’s needed to unlock their full potential, addressing regulatory hurdles and structural barriers in the journey toward decarbonisation.
