The Annual Summit brought together around 200 C-suite leaders from across the maritime spectrum to address the most pressing issues facing the industry. Invitees were selected to ensure an adequate representation of the entire maritime value chain and give each segment, geography and stakeholder group an equal say in the proceedings. Terra Praxis Founding Partner and Co-CEO, Kirsty Gogan, was among this select target audience and an invited speaker.

The Annual Summit primarily consisted of workshop-style discussions that encouraged participants to work in groups to seek collaborative responses to various challenges we face. The working sessions were supplemented by briefings with leading experts who inspired and challenged the conversations, as well as a few keynote sessions and panel discussions featuring top government officials and business leaders.

The purpose of the Annual Summit was not only to discuss industry issues but also to catalyze collective initiatives that can increase sustainable long-term economic development and human well-being. The Annual Summit was highly collaborative, and all participants had a chance to share, inspire, and learn.

Kirsty Gogan was an expert invited speaker on:

The potential role of nuclear in shipping

What is the potential of using nuclear energy as a viable path to zero-emission shipping?

What opportunities and barriers should be assessed when considering its role in propulsion and in the production of zero-emission fuels?

And how might the eventual promise of nuclear power affect the uptake of other zero-emission fuels?

The session was moderated by Lynn Loo, Chief Executive Officer, Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonization
